What It Means to Dream About Stars
Dreaming of a star is read as a dream that represents a goal shining far away, hope, and where your wishes are headed.
The Basic Meaning
In dream interpretation, a star is a symbol of hope and goals. A star shining far away is read as representing not something out of reach, but "the destination you are aiming for." A shooting star represents a wish, and the moment of an unexpected opportunity. A sky full of stars represents a state of many possibilities, and of your heart being open. A dream of looking up at a starry sky also represents a desire to step a little away from everyday life and see things from a larger perspective.
What It Means in Different Situations
A Shooting Star
This is a sign of an opportunity for a wish to begin moving. Things that come to mind are best started small, without putting them off.
A Sky Full of Stars
This represents a season full of possibilities. Because there are many choices, deciding your priorities becomes the key.
Twinkling Stars
This is a state in which hope continues without interruption. Even a small light can be a guidepost in a dark season.
Almost Being Able to Reach a Star
This represents a feeling that your goal is drawing near. You may have come to a point where a little more effort will bring it within reach.
Not Being Able to See the Stars
This represents a season of unease, when the outlook is unclear. If you gather information again or consult someone you trust, the sky will clear.
Your State of Mind When You Have This Dream
This is a dream you are likely to have in a season when hope and anxiety about the future are mixed together. It brings out a desire, in response to the quiet question "Is it all right to stay as I am?", to find a star of your own — a goal.
How It Differs from Similar Dreams
Whereas a moon dream represents "the rhythm of emotions," a star dream represents "the direction you are aiming for, and hope." It also differs in the length of time it spans from a rainbow dream, which represents a sign of a turn for the better.
The Flow of Your Luck, and Some Advice
Your luck is in a flow of quietly growing brighter. When you put a wish into words and write it down, its direction becomes settled. Time spent looking up at a starry sky on a clear night is a good opportunity to review your goals.
