What It Means to Dream About Rainbows
Dreaming of a rainbow is read as a bright dream of hope and a turn for the better, like a bridge spanning the sky after the rain has cleared.
The Basic Meaning
In dream interpretation, a rainbow is a symbol of hope and a turn for the better. Just like a rainbow spanning the sky after the rain has stopped, it is read as representing a state in which a bright sign has begun to appear in a difficult time, or in matters that had been at a standstill. It is a dream you are likely to have in a season when the things you have been working hard at are beginning to bear fruit, or when the fog in your heart has cleared and you can face forward again. It can also represent a "bridge" toward a wish or a goal, and many people receive it as encouragement for a new challenge.
What It Means in Different Situations
A Large Rainbow Spanning the Sky
This is a sign that your luck is clearly turning for the better. The things you have been working on are likely to show visible progress.
Seeing a Double Rainbow
This represents a season when happy things come one after another. Good news may arrive from somewhere other than where your main wish lies, as well.
Going All the Way to the Foot of a Rainbow
This is a state in which you have come within reach of your goal. One more step of action will bring your wish closer to reality.
A Rainbow Fading Away
This is a sign that a season of opportunity is passing into a new phase. If there is something on your mind, it is best to act early rather than put it off.
Seeing a Rainbow After the Rain
This represents a season when worries and concerns are coming undone. It is also a sign that you are shifting your feelings well.
Your State of Mind When You Have This Dream
This is a dream you are likely to have in a season when a forward-looking feeling — wanting somehow to change a situation that has been at a standstill — is growing in you. Rather than past experiences that did not go well, your awareness is beginning to turn toward "what comes next."
How It Differs from Similar Dreams
Whereas a dream of the sun represents "energy and life force itself," a rainbow dream represents "the hope that arrives after change." Precisely because it is a temporary phenomenon, it is a dream that speaks to the importance of timing.
The Flow of Your Luck, and Some Advice
Your luck is in a season of turning upward. Even a small wish, once you put it into words, makes it easier for supporters and information to gather around you. Like looking up at the sky after the rain, try to treasure the breathing room to stop now and then and look around you.
